Fourth DAST winners honoured

HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council, recently honoured the winners of the fourth Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport (DAST), which is one of the initiatives rolled out by the RTA with the aim of motivating the public and private sectors to curb traffic congestion and conserve the environment.

HH Sheikh Hamdan honours Kassab Media for DAST sponsorshipHis Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council, recently honoured Kassab Media for its sponsorship of the fourth edition of the Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport (DAST).

HH Sheikh Hamdan is seen presenting a commemorative award to Mohammad Awad, General Administration Director of Kassab Media, at the fourth DAST award ceremony that was held in February 2012 at the Dubai World Trade Centre in the presence of Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Roads and Transport Agency (RTA), as well as several heads of RTA departments and organisations in the public and private sectors.

RTA values DAST sponsors’ role

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) considers sponsors of the Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport (DAST) as partners in the success made by the award since its launch in 2008 in view of the material and moral support provided, rendering the award capable of making excellent progress and broadening its reach to cover government and semi-government entities, as well as private businesses, across the UAE, rather than being just confined to Dubai.

Enhanced role sought for DAST
